Generally Clarkson likes Ford products, Small feisty hatches, VW Golfs and supercars/super saloons

He didn't slag the ST off a few years back either.
ETA: From that video I'd have the 135 but make it a bit more edgy. LSD, Stiffen it up. But the FRS would be a close 2nd. Mitsi/Impreza's just bore me now.

i must say that BMW sounded amazing compared to the other two....but BMW do know how to make a good engine!,,,saying that,i'd have the RS before the other 2...its the RS thing is in my blood!

from the figures above i would have thought the bmw had more bhp by 2
but whats your point as im lost lolol
The engine in the 335i and 135i is a belter... IIRC there are tuning packages which unlock 400bhp without too much hassle, cooler change, full exhaust, filter and a custom remap.
Plus, the 135i comes with some tasty looking brakes (6-pots?) as standard and I'm sure I read somewhere that its got a more lively diff in it over the 3-series which allows a bit more sideways action than other new Bimmas.
Cheers,
Grant

Standard I would take the RS, and probably the same if just talking mild tuning, but if modifying it properly then I would take the 135i, as the chassis can cope with double the power and I dont reckon the Focus will, due to being fairly heavy and FWD, too much intertia for the amount of grip available IMHO
I want to know why i'm sitting here thinking how i can afford a Focus RS
Wonder what deprection will be like in the first year.....
Though i have said im going to get 335 in a years time
