Is that an estimated bill or an accurate one?

To me that sounds a SILLY amount of money!

What size is your house?

I've always thought ours is horrific, but some of the stories I have heard lately make ours look tame.

Two 4 week periods Dec-Jan and Jan-Feb, we used £110 worth of gas each and I thought that was alot. I do know someone who spent £800 in a quarter though.

Our's is a 3-bedroom detached bungalow by the way.

We're really looking at energy saving these days, we've made around 20% improvement in the last 12 months compared to the previous 12 months on our electric, but sadly gas is more difficult.

to right thats bad,our £20 a week on prepay, regarded as more expensive to start with, is only £240 a quarter and we have a 3 bed, 2 floor house with 2 young kids and everything turned on all day long.
how can it possibly be £600? are you growing hash plants in your attic?

Why do you want them to bum you again? A boiler service should be about £50 once a year.

I'm also with EON.

I live in a small 2 bedroom flat, everything is electric and Economy 7 heating. I only have 1 heater on and thats in the livingroom.

My bill was £408 for the last 3 months! Couldn't believe it.

Have switched to EDF now, EON are a rip off, EDF only want £30 a month.

I dont understand some of the figures, I really dont. If your house is heat efficient it simply cant cost as much as some are paying. My house is a fairly large 4 bed detached & during that cold spell the heating was on 18 hours a day, when the Mrs was in the stat was set at 22 cos below that she aint happy. I payed 69 gas & 82 elec a month last year & this year its 88 gas & still 82 elec & they owe me money.
