With the arrival soon of the new Focus RS and we have just gone into a recession....

They fucked up before, they brought out the capri RS 3.1 just as the energy crises hit in 1970.

 

THERE sold out,thats why people are selling there pre ordered Rs on ebay

 

Think with the 5th gear program just now RS's will be going back up

 

so will rs turbos, but astra gte will be worth shit

 

maybe their selling them on ebay because they cant afford to pay for them when they are due for collection

 

I bet a lot of those are speculators hoping to make a profit. Thus screwing any true RS fans who want to get a car.

They are not sold out,you can easily order through Ford today....its not as limited as the orig FRS. As already mentioned many people put down deposits thinking they will make a quick profit,then the economy went tits up and people won't want to pay a premium(if they have any sense) to get bumped up the waiting list.

 

Im tempted with one and am very unsure about the colour as most people will have blue or white (Best colours IMO) and it looks as if they will be quite regular cars, even tho a limited run.

Do you think you could bargain the price down if they are not selling or would Ford reduce the price??

 

theyve had 1800 pre orders up to now apparently

 

i reckon this will be discounted soon enough plus the priv discount will make it more appealing

selling a limited car for a profit has gone on for years,example it happens a lot in the porsche/ferarri i.e 430scud,gt3rs world if people are stupid enough to pay over list good luck to the guys making a profit i.m.h.o

defo not sold out !!! the new RS is also going to be offered to employees on their discount scheme... the origional wasnt.. i dont really see them going up in value this time

 

the privilege prob wont apply to the RS model. dont think it ever has. certainly didnt with the first RS.
