i dont know if it would be worth doing the racing puma, as the price of genuine 1's are dropping. you can pic 1 up now for as little as Ł4.5k and it would cost you that in bits to do a good rep. just the engines fetch over 1k.

Its NOT financially sensible to make a replica. Cheaper to buy a genuine one. if you like a project then buy a cheap one and do a mild restoration and brush up.

I have been to see a few, really tidy aswell, the price has fallen to the floor on them for some reason. Nice cars for the money, building a rep is a no brainer when the real deal is getting so cheap

Finding the parts to make an FRP replica will be a task in itself. As people have said, get a proper one. There's a few about for Ł4K ish these days.

as said its not worth making a rep, prices are circa

decent puma 1500
engine 1500
interior 1000

new parts:
pannels 2000 or fibreglss reps 1000
suspension wishbones etc 2000
paint 1000
wheels & tyres 1000

obv you could get alot of the stuff second hand but it rarely shows up in decent condition but its still a large price, just get a genuine frp, trust me it will make you smile everytime you drive it :P
