Offset for mk3 escort
Thinking about buying these size of alloys(15 x 6.5 J et49 4108 pcd), will the et be ok?
Or will it hit the strut, hence i will have to use spacers??

ET49 with a 6.5J will be horribly skinny looking regarless of if it hits the strut.
You want to be on the other side of the typical 7J and ET35 for proper looks

14mm spacers would bring you back to ET35.

By the time you've bought a proper set of 15mm Hubcentric spacers, you need to ask yourself, are these wheels worthwhile?

You could, but the tyres don't sit as nice on skiny rims.
I've also found that big spacers also exaggerate any wheel wobbles to quite a large extent.
What wheels are they?

In my experience 7" wide, ET38 and above will probably hit the inner arch on full-lock, which is an MOT failure.
ET35 seems optimum for 7x17", any more does as above, any less hits the outer arch lip on the rear. Depending on the ride-height of course.
