Default Dam RSTs!

6 months ago i had a new engine and rebuild, new gaskit ect,

Went in for setup yeasterday and guess what, fucking head gaskit

Ahh well Wounded, its gone in this morning so will wait on his update later when i pop in as its only a 1min walk down the road

lets hope the head isnt worped and it will need skiming

use genuine ford gasket. was you driving it around before it was set up?

I would defiantly go back and get him to redo it without charge there must of been a fault with either his work or the gasket it self.

the guy near my office whos doing the headgaskit is poping down today to have words as its snaped the gaskit in half in number 3 cylinder, hes said hes ganna use a gen ford gaskit this time,

gave him my old head from my old rebuild to send them both in to see which one is best, as the one on now could be proper worped if its split the gaskit in two,

my problem is there was no signs of water loss or mayo in the oil. so its starange !

will update later today as the work goes on

the cars not even been on full boost yet with my new build so im wounded haha, my bottem end is safe tho thank god.

why did u pay so much for a headgasket si ?, u only have to ask mate i would of helped u out, us rs turbo boys have got to stick together.

heads nearly off already he started this morning at 8am

then off for a pressure test n skim, then hes ganna nip to the basford garage jobs a good un

Genuine Ford gasket or Payen if you can find one cause they have stopped making them aparantly. A mate used an unknown gasket from his local motor factors and guess what? In 2 days it had gone again lol

I got a gen ford head gasket a couple weeks ago so they still have some in stock if they have stopped actually making them

think they quite cheap from ford anyway.dont bother with any of this group a crap thats advertised.IIRC christian major has standard ford gasket on his 170mph s2 and thats got 350 bhp.
