Can you not order one from Woodford for example.

Plenty of suppliers of them in the mags etc...

Imagine thats not much price difference between standard and a -31 so may as well buy the -31 coz in the long run it will be able to handle increase in boost if needed plus will do the job of running standard boost just now(if he is runnin standard)

GUYS!! I went to buy that today, but the bloke at PJ's, said that it would be pointless because they run hi 16's 20s and go up to 30psi, as mine is standard and hasnt had the ecu chipped, i need a standard one for now. If i was to get the -31, the ecu would step in every time i plant it and cut it out, which means it wouldnt be running proberly. Can i just fit the cossie one and hope for the best?

I need help guys, im getting told one thing and another by others!

is your engine standard? what problems will you get??

from what i know if you fit a -31 you wont have many problems, so long as your car is set up right by a good tuner there wont be problems. my engine was fine before hand, but ive taken it off road now for a big bottom end rebuild

So what psi with the boost controller right down, will it be running standard with the -31? Because ive had enough problems in the past, as its a convertion from a 1.4, to an rs in my cabbie, i dont want any more problems, Hense why i want to get the standard one and be done with it!!

WIll it cut it out if i have one? Will i pop the engine?

"boost controller" being a Bleed valve , you can have it set at what ever boot you like,I would get it set to peak @ 15psi and hold about 12psi on your engine, the chance of popping is very slim imo, as i said get it set up by a good tuner and wont have any problems

you can run std boost on a -31 no probs.

you wont be able to hit 15psi and hold 12 tho cos you say its not chipped....so your looking at 10psi tops! get a -31 by all means if you're planning on uprating, but if not then save the money and go std!
