Mis-sold endowment policies
Has anyone of here ever made a claim against your endowment company for selling you a endowment policy that wont make its projected target and won the case?
Was the guy who sold you the endowment an Independant Financial Adviser or an Appointed Rep of the endowment company?
If he was an IFA then it's him you need to complain to.
If he was an A.R. then complain to the endowment company.
It's the advice you're complaining about, not the performance of the product.
When were you sold the policy?
You have to complain within 6 years of being sold it or 3 years after your first 'red' letter.
Also if you bought it in 88 or earlier you might not be able to claim anyway

First one was in 1993 from independent adviser , 2nd one in 1997 through a appointed rep, never really took any notice of any letters received as i was advised by the chap who we took the first one out with "not to worry about it till nearer the time"
Hmmm, probably outside of the timebar then mate.
It's been more than 3 years since your first letter advising you of a high chance the endowments won't reach the sum assured?
First point of contact would be the company itself, ask them if they enforce timebars.
My company for example doesn't.
