Default advice needed on tappets on saff

on start up its very tappety. once warm its ok. whats best way to stop this?

also i need an idle control valve. where is best place?

if it's on a 2w/d cossies then they are just like that and you'll find that it is KNOWN as piston slap (lasts for about 10 mins from cold start) rather than the followers design was changed on the late 200 engines due to of/set of gudgeon pin positioning on pistons I believe if it's on 4x4 youre talking about then just get some new tappets cost between £100-£200 to buy
