Default Not a Good day (HELP)

Was driving the Cossie to work 2day and on came the oil light and the car cut out.

Coasted into a petrol sattion and checked oil (there was none )

Topped it up and started the car back up to find the bottom end rattling like a moffo.

Had a good listen and got a mate to check it over and he says i have run the big ends.

I cant afford to strip the complete engine as i have money to spend on other stuff.

He says ill most likely get away with fittting new big end bearings.

What u all reckon?

and Any prices and best place to get them?

cheers

Bradz

Sorry to heat that mate

IMO we've got to check the oil level every couple of days on these cars.

Contact Brom on here regarding a rebuild......PM him or brom@zoosport.plus.com

bugger - yep, on the original stickers on the cambelt covers, it did say, "check oil daily" they weren;t joking, even in the ford handbook, it says they can use upto a litre of oil every 600 miles, so from full, in around 2K miles you COULD have used ALL the engine oil
