Here you go the "short version"...............I would point out that quite a few on here have had similar experiences with BD10's....then again some people swear by them

IMO Standard cams are fine for up to 380 - 400 BHP.

I have tried BD10's and was VERY dissapointed - mainly due to the lack of mid range torque. This is in context of a Paul Bailey built engine to this spec:
Standard compression ratio, 200 'O' ringed block
STANDARD cams
Big valve, flowed head
Light Blue injectors
T38 (hybrid 360° bearing) rinning 26 PSI
2 WD exhaust manifold/ Maxnex system

I well known tuner suggested that I would be better off with BD10's fitted.....So I purchased the cams from him..................

Decided to do back to back tests at Interpro's rolling road......and YES - the BD10's were dialed in correctly on verniers/adjusted a couple of times too.
Standard cams (with offset keys): 404 BHP......396 ft /LBS torque
BD10's + verniers fitted: 392 BHP......358 ft/LBS torque

Needless to say the STANDARD cams were refitted

BD10's are known as the lag cams. Should be asking what you are losing like most of your lowdown Power/Torque.
