Default My Mk2 fiesta Rally 1.6 build

Hello all
Im new here and have a 1.1 mk2 fiesta. My brother bought it has part of a deal with a xr2 race car. I bought it of him for £50 and stiped it and replaced the dead 1.1 with a rebuilt 1000cc. That was 2 years ago. I drove it around fields or the local race track at every chance i could get. Now it is rooting away around the back of my shed.
I have always intended to turn it rwd and rally it. but nvr have had the time or the money to do so.

PS My fiesta as it sits today Weak hearts may need to look away :P

Plan of action:
startin asap this year i will begin work on this project.
As its my first project im not going to be ambitious.
I will be using a 1.6 xr2 engine, gearbox, and driveshafts. The engine has a four branch custom manifold,4-2-1 with a 1 1/2" exhaust system waiting to be bought from a mate. I has a fast road cam, and i will hopefully be getting a pair of 40 webbers for it, we have the manifold and all.

There is currently escort diesel estate brakes on the front, vented and bigger disk's, which means i will be puting the standard fiesta disk's on the back.

needed Parts list:
Lowering and stinfing springs(front and back)XR2 springs would do if i can afford lowering [only if money permits]
Uprated shocks(front and back) [only if money permits]
Rose joints [optional, may be a later addition to this car]
Bushings.
Anti roll bar.
Hydralic handbrake. [optional, may be a later addition to this car]
Roll cage
Fiberglass boot and bonnet. [optional, may be a later additon to this car]
Fuel tank [may make on own]
Battery box [may make on own]
Short shift kit [only if money permits]
Fire extinguisher
Main power kill switch
Smaller steering wheel(scrap yard)
Seats and 5 point harrness
Rev counter.
Oil pressure gauge [only if money permits]
Oil temp gauge [only if money permits]
Water temp gauge [only if money permits]
Fuel filter
Electronic fuel pump
Electronic ignition system [only if money permits]
Front windscreen (split from top to bottom)

Todo list:
Seam weld pannels.
Replace bushing with rose joints where possible [only if money permits]
Fit roll cage.
Weld extra bars extending out to front suspension turrets [optional and if time allows]
Rebuild and fit engine and gearbox.
Clean everything and paint [cheap spray cans]
Sand plast shell [only if money permits]
Patch shell
Build battery box and fuel tank[only if cant afford cheap tank]
Adapt standard front brakes to fit rear.
Wiring
Paint shell [cheap as dad's work can do it]

As you can tell im making this car to a budget, as this is the case i may be reserecting old bits from my dad's old car and looking in mates old scrap cars.

wouldnt say dont bother, doesnt look as bad as that to be honest. My XR2i looked in similar condition. If your doing the welding/plating yourself (saving alot of money)then I'd say go for it. once the chassis and shell is sorted or do=able the rest is easy.
