R REG ESCOS????
it will be a late registered 1996 car that would have been ordered later.....would have been a P plate but obviously a dealer must have kept hold of it a little bit longer to make a bit rarer

Ive learnt one thing about buying an escos if its cheap there's a reason its hard to find a nice one without a story. If Duncan has a nice car it will be worth the extra cash.

Check very carefully when buying P or R plates, some are good, some are not. Some were built by ford and then late registered, others were built from a kit of new(ish) parts but not by ford. They don't all have regular vin numbers either. They are a nightmare to fix if anything goes wrong, which it will, since they used a kind of mix and match approach for parts.
I got a P with a big turbo, leather, aircon etc... cost a fortune to get things sorted though, unknown cams, dodgy electrics, things like that. Can be hard to trace it's history as well, vin search gives some very strange results.

It was the one in Farnborough not a motorsport though as it had opening rear quaters. It had an aircon switch but no compressor or rad a big turbo engine no leather a kreg steering wheel and fibre glass bumpers. The dealer did not know a thing about it he did not even notice it did'nt really have aircon. And the dash was held together with black screws i dont even think it was a proper cossy dash.He was not best pleased when i told him why i did'nt want it.
