Check very carefully when buying P or R plates, some are good, some are not. Some were built by ford and then late registered, others were built from a kit of new(ish) parts but not by ford. They don't all have regular vin numbers either. They are a nightmare to fix if anything goes wrong, which it will, since they used a kind of mix and match approach for parts.
I got a P with a big turbo, leather, aircon etc... cost a fortune to get things sorted though, unknown cams, dodgy electrics, things like that. Can be hard to trace it's history as well, vin search gives some very strange results.
