just after a bit of advice really if thats cool, I've got a fairly modern boiler at home that is telling me there is 'insufficient pressure' in the central heating system, when I click the thermostat it comes on but after about ten minutes it goes off again and gives me the above warning light. But, if I click reset it all starts working again!
What could it be? is there a leak somewhere? does it sound like a simple thing to sort? or do I need to get the pro's in
I have next to NO knowledge on all things pipes, unless I'm smokin somethin outta them
Thanks for any help

what pressure do you have(pressure gauge is on boiler)????????? is the filling link pipe still connected (should be a silver braided one), also what boiler is it(make and model)
is anything wet anywhere ???????????????

I assume that you have a Combi boiler (No cylinder in the airing cupboard?)
If that is the case then your central heating system has lost its pressure, like its saying.
Underneath the boiler will be a bank of pipes going into it. There should be a braided hose joining the heating pipes to the main cold water feed. This will have a Tap on it and a pressure gauge attached. Turn the tap on till the pressure gauge reads 2 BAR. Then start on the ground floor with the heating off and vent all the radiators moving to the upstairs ones after, you may have to top the pressure back up to 2 BAR a few times.
Once all the radiators are full, check that the gauge reads 2BAR and then try turning the heating on as usual
Let me know how you get on mate

plumbing is a piece of piss m8 , as above as to whats happened , its a bit like electrics , you cant always see where the pipes(wires) go but they must be there and you knw what they carry !! just need to get yourself familiar on how the combi unit works the rest is easy !!
i fitted my own boiler - even moved it into the loft from the ground floor , took me about 10 hrs and im not even a plumber ! sometimes think i should give up the motor trade and take up plumbing - defo more cash in the job !
