Default need insurance advice

as some of you may know ive just sold my car. should i let the insurance policy run until next july without me actually owing a car or cancel it and forfeit my 2nd year NCB? putting a cossie back even further?

the policy is for £900 so if i refund it now how much am i realistically looking at getting back?

Do you already have 2 years NCB or is the current policy going to make it into 2?
If you end early its either going to leave you with the 2 you already have, or just one depending on the above!
Make sure you get another policy asap tho as the ncb isnt valid after a certain amount of time if not used

it will be 2 years NCB in the summer. really want another RS in the summer but want to get final year exams out the way before i go looking.

do you think 1 years NCB will make that much difference to the quotes i will be getting?

so the refund should outweigh the benefits of another years NCB?

Best way to find out is to get some quotes using 1 and 2 years ncb to see how much difference it makes.
Go on tescos or churchill etc and just play about and see

try and find a log nook for a mini and transfer it to that. Log book will cost ya 50 quid and you'll get some of your current premium back. As a result you're NCB carries on.

With certain brokers they will not honour the NCB if vehicles have been changed during the 1yr period.. (it think HIC are one sorry if im wrong)
1 yrs NCB will IMO make a MASSIVE difference to quote prices.. its the same for me.. i will have 2 yrs in march and i get quotes of £1500 fully comp on an M3 if i try it with one yrs NCB then the price rockets to £6800
and similarly with a cossie! £1350 fully comp with 2 yrs and 6800 with 1 yr
