Default Sapphire & 3Dr Steering Knuckles , Are they the same ??

Is the knuckle that goes between a Sapphire and 3dr's Rack to Column , the same ?
And does anyone have a minter they wish to move on at a sensible level ??
Dont really want to post this in parts wanted and get swamped !

from memory they are , the only differant ones is the 4x4's they have that large gay bush on the shaft , but , there are other differances to other models from what im aware , ive had a few differant steering racks on my car and the nose where the pinion sits in can be at differant lengths !! , you also get that round rubber bush in the pas racks with the short coupling ??
yeh thats it the pas rack has the long nose and short coupling(2wd) the 4wd has short nose and long coupling

hmmm im confusing myself now!!

on my 3dr i dont even use a sierra rack , i have a wider track than std on the from
about 3 inches wider !

hth

Thanks Mark ,

I knew there was a difference to the 4x4 ones , but i need a 2wd one for my 3dr , as they are so old now most of the used ones are knackered so i wondered if the Sapphire might have the same knuckle . There are a few more Saffs being broken at reasonable prices !!
What rack do you use then ? And how have you widened the track , i cant nick your ideas as mine is a bit too low to do that i think !
thanks Mate

Do you mean the long part with the narrow shaft and the rubber coupling in the middle, it has a spline fitting on the lower end and a triangular fitting at the upper end?
