just dropped my iphone 3g on the kitchen floor and now the screen lights up white with a few lines on it

I suspect the obvious and didn't take out the insurance

was wondering though if there any hints or tips that might fire it back into life?

 

try burning it, then buy a proper PDA

 

i dunno what options i have Johnny! I could spend 150 squids on a new screen but i really don't want to, make as well just get another contract, with a phone that does simple things like mms, and text forwarding! lol

150 is alot to spend on a screen, and what do they cost brand new nowadays? Ł250 ish maybe? not really worth it if your not fussed on having it back, if you are then it would be worth fixing it.

 

The MMS app is free to download though. You could try taking it to a phone repair place and see if they can do anything, but I fear the worst for you.
