Default T5 sequential shifter - pre production!

So Luso Motors in Portugal has finally gotten back to me about their T9 shifter and if they had plans for a T5 shifter. I do recall their price being around the 400-500 euro range and thought "I'd buy that if it was for the T5".

http://www.lusomotors.com/parts.html (part #0016)

Well the answer is yes!

Here is their response below. I encourage you if you are interested in a what I would like to call a linear shifter (since some people like to argue about dog engagements and sequential shifting) then send them a hell yes I want one email and make sure any other Ford forum you are on gets the word about this potentially cool product.

Combining other parts they make you could have flappy paddle shifting for your Sierra. Not a true sequential gearbox, but a sequential shifter.

You go from this:

135
24r

To this...

r
1
2
3
4
5

Again, their response:

-----------------------

Hello.

Thank you very much for your email.

About the Ford Type 9, as well as the Toyota T50 or the Borg Warner T5 sequential command intends to be a "plug and play" mechanical device, which enables to transform a standard "H" pattern gearbox into a "sequentialised" one. The basic idea is to replace the gearlever by this device and make the gear changes in sequential mode. The inner parts of the gearbox still remain the same, but you will have a sequential command on it.

At the moment we have a few units in a test program to check for faults or problems. It's a detailed development process and I will take the necessary time to have all sorted without any problems.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards from Portugal,

I think the more people ask about it the more chance we'll have of a decent price and production run.

This is trick! I didn't think it would be that easy to covert to sequential.
I'll be sending them an e-mail too, cheers for the heads up!

I might even try out my Portuguese on them, I'm sure that would impress them!!, probably tell me to FO!!, after I unwittingly insult them.
