Jesus, the groups founder that runs the track was married to the bint who got 40K. Smacks of something a bit sinister. They are not going to be popular people round that neck of the woods.
Hell hath no fury like a women scorned lol
clearly after divorcing 14 years ago it's nice to see she has moved on and they get on so well as friends now roflol

If you read the comments underneath, someone from croft says they tried to get palnning permission to turn there property into a hotel, wouldnt have complained about the noise then would they, they would have benefited from people staying there who were visiting croft
story i heard was that the couple had the circuit and the house in question and when they divorced she took the house and he took the circuit,, and gave him greiff about the noise ever since

A racing circuit in northern ireland (Nutts corner) was made to close or stop most of the motorsport including the rally cross just becuase basically a judge moved nearby and complained about the noise. They tried putting a bank to deflect the noise but it didnt work. If he didnt like the noise why the hell did he move near a racing circuit.

Has evey last bit of common sense left this country, absolute joke! Audiable nuisance! Surely everyone who lives near a road has to put up with the same sound, are we all due damages? bollocks!

Some sort of legal framework needs to be put in place for this sort of thing. Maybe a clause in the contract of buying a house that states that you know its near a race track and therefore give up the right to complain about it.
Its utterly crazy.
Its utterly crazy.
Solution to that is everyone drives past the bitches house revving like a twat or antilag all night long. As long as its driving on the public highway its not crofts problem!!!!! Drive the bitch insane!!
The objection by the Watsons and Mrs Wilson was not to car and motorbike racing events, which take place on the track on about 45-50 days-a-year, but to "vehicle testing days" and "track days", when members of the public drive cars around the track all day long at high speed.
If anything the days they object to would be quieter with fewer traffic and more road going cars on the track.....

Looks like a restriction to just 40 days per year
With 33 days in the race calendar that leaves just 7 days spread througout the year for testing / trackdays and other motorsport activities
Not good for any circuit in the country, not just Croft.
Infact I bet other 'sports stadiums' around the country have been watching this case closely too.
You watch, once all the football stadiums have been closed down, then all the outdoor rock concerts kaiboshed we will all be sat at home twiddling our thumbs posting on forums about the 'good old days'
Sad day for an imoral victory.

The family feud between the daughter (still lives in the house) and her ex husband (leaseholder of the circuit) seems to be now sadly hitting us all
As said there is more to this than just 'noise'
Clive, These out of touch legal eagles have been on the case since 1996
It seems its finally been brought to a head with the 40 day ruling being granted.

cheers tony, I had read the original ruling but not the appeal,.
Can't see how the track can be viable with the costs to pay and the very limited usage allowed.

This really has pee'd me off to say the least. I've enjoyed so many track days at Croft in the Pug and now if I want to use my car I'll most likely have to go all the way to Donnington or Knockhill. Isn't there anything that the general public can do in cases like this?
Croft do introduction track days for kids when they reach 13yrs old. I had promised Kai thats what I would buy him for his 13th birthday. He was absolutely gutted when we saw the news last night.
How old are the people who brought the case against Croft. If they are in their twilight years do you think that after they have snuffed it they might be able to resume business as usual at Croft

That is if the circuit survives that long
