has any one had problems with them ie water coming past the o ring making the water mix with the oil

 

no, but i always use a dolop of silicone on the o ring, to seal, and stop them pinching when torqued up

 

i didnt do that but i have now and with another new wrc gasket

 

what longstuds? the reyland ones?

 

no m8 mountune ones

 

No never but as Jtech mentioned I always use a little silicone sealant too.

 

the older style 1's have started to get a reputation for failing nowadays
but the new reyland 1's are supposed to be modified and solve the problem
i thought it was cause they were causing blocks to crack but that might not be the case

 

well they should be spot on,

i use reyland studs, they are very good, and use a smaller nut, which is easier to get a socket on...

did you have your block decked?

 

its been decked m8 along with the head as its all been apart didnt have any problems befor may be i used sillcon befor and not this time

so do i as at Ł140 a time for gaskets it getting to dear now

 

you can reuse them,

i used mine twice with no issues.

 

not going to chance it m8 matt is sending one out tomorrow for me even tho its only been started up

 

do you use weld seal or just put it on dry m8

 

just dry mate, never had any issues at all with mine even the second time.
