its a quaife diff for a 2wd that hasnt done more than 700 miles if was re built by reyland motorsport its to cheap at £800 new these are £1.300 plus your old diff
Carlo:
Quaife do not make a plate diff, its a ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) Differential, the same as a FRS has as standard and the same as Rainbird uses in his Escort, its non serviceable as it never goes wrong unlike a plate diff.
Gripper and Tran-x to name a few make plate diffs.
The diff is standard size and fits in a standard 7.5" casing, I don't even think Quaife make a uprated rear casing unlike the thick wall front diff casing they do make which I think is what your possibly getting confused with.
It also uses a standard fitment cwp and in this case runs standard gearing
Paul :
I've spoke with my mate and we need to see what room he has before he commits to buying it, its hard to say without seeing a pic really but if you sell it we'll just have one made, cheers anyway

Spot on description there James.
as an extra bit of info, they dont make a thickwall casing as the standard rear casing is plenty strong enough to cope with whats being asked of it, where as the front casing was crying out for a bit of extra strength!
you can use a different CWP as my 7" Rear Quaife ATB has had a 3.9 CWP fitted

Cheers kelv !
The best mod a friend did to his 3 door was fit a 3.9 cwp, totally transformed the car as it makes the most of the engines power, tib still managed nigh on 180 at brunters using that gearing which is as fast as you should ever need to go unless your a top speed queen.
