I fitted my B&M quickshift today which is a very good peace of kit and easy to fit.
The only thing I am having trouble with is that you don't have to push down the gear selector to get it into reverse, so going from 5th to 4th is a bit dodgy (making sure not to put it into reverse).
Have I fitted this wrong or is that just the way it is with them??

 

I think the 'push down' was just part of the MK3 linkage, so as you have replaced it with the B&M i would think it's fine.

 

yeah i think karlos is right, on the later boxes theres a "catch" that stops you going from 5th to reverse in one movement, you have to put it into neutral first. thats probably what that part of the linkage was for. you'll just have to be careful
