Hopefully not too dumb a question, basically my '84 XR4i needs a replacement engine and I have the opportunity to grab a Cologne 2.8 carb engine for a reasonable price.
Can I just strip the carb gear off and replace with the injection kit I already have ?

i'm sure i read somewhere that there different, try the burton power website, i think there might be some info on there

IIRC main different part was the inlet. But you can keep that one out of your XR4i...
