My escort will be going on a diet and a new engine. Got some ideas for the engine but will be a slow build, due to the wife wanting a family holiday in spain. Poor car!!!! While the engine is being built I will work on other areas in the car. Got a lot of ideas and different methods of doing things. So enjoy this slow build.

Yes been keeping an eye on your project. A fair few years ago 2 of my mates started building a bonus shell into a track car. Rad in boot CGI block, st170 head, throttle bodies, tubular manifold t4 turbo, seam welded and full rollcaged. But they lost interest. Good luck with your build, if i can find some pics i will put them on here, thats when i learn how to do that.

These wheels might be going, but then again i might change my mind. Im thinking standards with low profiles.

In car battery case. New header tank will be relocated to old battery tray. 6 speed st170 gearbox but dont know if i can be arsed with it because of all the mounting that is involved and welding the gearbox mounts, so probably going to flog it. Cheap, hint

Roll on the weekend! Taking the interior out to see if there is any bad bits. Very confident it aint going to be that bad. Got a lovely little mod for the dashboard. Ive seen this done once before on a wait for it............ vauxhall corsa But im sure you will love it in my escort!

Update...stripped completely.....header tank.....tyres..... A friend of mine is going to fill in the sunroof, then its off to racepower to have a full on wealded in roll cage. Then back to my friend to have a full re-spray insideand out. I will then fit st170 zvh
engine. Then back to race power for a complete wiring loom for the whole car. Oh and wheels are off to spit and polish!!!
