It was decided that we would do that as it is unfair on the gold members to have non gold members using the power of PF to sell in there.
Non gold members can reply to a seller via PM, so we believe they are not being stifled in getting what they want, and it is fair on the gold members who pay to advertise in all the other rooms

How can you be selling stuff if your posting a wanted ad? Or is it just a case of ANY trading that's done on here has to be done by a fully paid up member???

if a non member was selling it surely they can still sell it via pm's

i can't see why non members can't put up a wanted ad then it gives paying members the chance to sell MORE of there stuff that they are paying to advertise

i can see the point of making the for sale forums so that members only put up new threads but not the wanted forums

Not posting, but in replying to an ad you would be selling

Lets say I had a Ford Focus Bumper in my house, and you put up a wanted post. I could PM you and sell you it. I've made a sale, and I am not a gold member. Even I understand this one.

Benni.

Corect, but I'm not sure we can fudge it so only gold can reply, and anyone can post a thread. Bes to speak to stu when he sees this. Also, moved to policies and problems (all can post in this room now)

I guess it also cuts ot lots of rubbish.

IMHO they should do the same to the classifieds. I know a few other froums where you have to be a menber to post, and it cuts out so much pointless rubbish.

Theres nothing worse than seeing a forsale thread with 4 pages of looks good mate but cant afford it" and similar stuff.

Benni I get your description, and I understand why, it's just the way it was phrased above saying it stops people from selling stuff, it was just a bit general. I'm obviously not as clever as you.
Anyway, has anyone got some cheap 4x4 rear calipers for sale???
