Default Smoke when I back off?

Valve stem seals or turbo? what do you all think?

Quite smokey on start up on a morning, but clears when warmed up a bit. No smoke when accelerating, but when I back off I get a little cloud?

700 miles since what???
If the turbo was a rebuild or new it could be covered by the warranty.

normally the turbo would not smoke straightaway on start up as the exhaust housing is not hot enought to burn the oil leaking in the exhaust housing, but does sound like seal's when you let off and it smok's

Been down to see my mate, he also said looks like both
Stem seals will be done 1st as there the cheapest then if I need a new turbo I'll just have to save up for a stage 3

Deffo turbo.Mine did the same.Stem seals are gone when you pull away from standstill and you leave a cloud of smoke behind.

I would say turbo too, had enough experience of them going to know by now lol, sounds exactly like what happened when i bought a 2nd hand turbo that had apparently only done 1000 miles pmsl...would never buy a 2nd hand one again unless i knew where it came from.

That's the thing with mine tho, everything under the bonnet has only done 700 miles max!!!

I've ordered some stem seals so these will be done soon, anyone know how long they take to change?
