Default oil pump.

hi, how hard is it to fit a new oil pump ?

Easy mate, Starter off, exhaust disconnected, sump off, bottom pulley off, oil pickup off, pump off!
Might have to drop the engine slightly on the pump side.

I would say you would need to drop it down to get onto the bottom pulley bolt, then as said above easy money with the right tools and right parts

Make sure you prime the pump before you fit it!

I think i would sooner take the lump out and do it on an engine stand, nothing worse than working upside down

Yeah I did mine using a lift so was really easy!
The pulley comes off without dropping the engine but i couldnt quite squeeze me new pump back up onto the crank.

bit of a mission getting the pump on to the crank, but the hardest bit comes when you refit the sump!

Yeah that can be a pain!
Easiest way i have found is to superglue the new gasket to the bottom of the block then refit the sump. I've had 100% success with this method no leaks!

i superglued it to the sump, was still a bit of a mission, either way you deffo need to glue it in place.

I think the hardest part is getting it over the pick up pipe.... IIRC i bent mine back a little bit to help! lol
