well the story (my side) (as there is always 2 sides)

and i was/am on the look out fo a good offside fog light and other odd and sods i asked if the light was in good condition as i was using a new light in the other side and he told me it was very good. so we agreed a price of Ł33 posted for the o/s fog light, fog light surrround with cut wiring, battery clamp and map sensor bracket

so all was good the parts came quick but the fog light was rusty so i asked to send it back for a part refund of Ł20 which he agreed to (sent the fog light back early december)

but i did not make it clear enough to him that i wanted to keep the fog light surround so he offered me Ł15 as a part refund because he said the fog light was no good without the surround,the last contact with him was on the 27/12 when he said he would sort the refund via paypal

he has been on line when i have asked via pm whats going on and is now not responding to my pm's

hence this post. i know it not a lot of money but its the principle



sorry to go on a bit but thems the facts (from my side)

 

i've got a few fog lights kicking about in the garage

i'll bring a few to the next meet you'll be going to and you can have them for nothing

 

how is the lamp useless without a surround is he going to drive around with 1 foglamp missing but with the surround

if the lamp was rusty he should have given a better describtion or sent a pic!

Bit silly by matt really

Facts

I advertised some parts for sale along with some photos some of which matt paid for and i sent promptly one of which was a foglight,a cut lead and a surround

However matt wasnt happy with the fog light as he said it was rusted which was fine by me i said return it and let me know what he felt was a fair refund which we argeed

However when it arrived the surround and the lead were missing so i sent a pm to matt advising him that the surround and the lead had not been returned and on inspection it is not rust at all but the heat stain from the bulbs as you get on any of these used items

His reply was @"oh i want to keep them" as if i was a mind reader ffs so we agree a revised credit to him

However i have been on holidays from the office on 23rd till today and have only been on passion ford by i phone from home and cant log on to paypal and have no house
computer.




Facts are if i was going to con anyone

I would have not sent the items promptly

I would not have put my phone number on my add

I would have told him to get stuffed even though he selectively stated that he wanted to keep some of the item and not the full item.

I would not have used the paypal option for payment which gives the buyer protection

Facts are i have a life outside passion ford and was on my christmas break and just swithed off totally and make no appoligies for that and hence the mater was delayed.

Why have some people no patience and sense to work out that if someone was trying to con them they wouldnt post things in the first place after payment

Matt you could have rang but anyway i have sorted my end.

 

Whilst the item may have been posted early december the 10th actually it didnt arrive here till i think the 16th and sat on my desk for a few days before i got a chance to open it but i pmed matt to let him know it had arrived and we pmd back and forward right up to near the holiday time

 

now closed .. if any of the parties involved wish to add further comments please pm a mod who will do so for you ..
this has been done to stop the slagging that normally happens...
