hi need some help my focus idles at around 700-750 once it comes off warm up,replaceced plugs,air filter,checked leads and coil all ok. no signs of an air leak neither! Put on gas machine and co aorund 15% with the Hc`s around 2-5! any help would b good cheers nick.

 

idle speed sounds about right....

 

its got a flat spot from under fueling but when i come to a stop it gets realy lumpy likes its going to cut out its a real head scratcher!

 

How did you check the coil pack? I would suggest this is at fault, very common for these to fail giving the symptoms you are describing!

 

Either that or idle control valve, remove, clean and oil, if that doesnt fix it then replace

 

i done a resitance check all was ok acording to autodata. i had a feeling it could be that i`ve checked everything other than! thanks for the help let you know how it goes.
