have you bridged a wire from the battery positive to the middle, small pin on the solenoid? Mine went about a month ago, needed to replace the starter. Got mine from halfords with trade discount and a trade in for my old motor, came to 40 quid!

ive checked the starter and thats fine mate, i just dont have any switch feed to it. there is 12v at the ignition switch untill you turn it to the second position and then when you would be cranking there is no power at the ign switch have tried another switch still the same so must be a missing feed from the fuse box?? or a bastard wiring fault

are you getting the fuel pump priming when you switch ign?

I had the same prob, ignition wasnt priming and no start from ignition. It turned out to be some shitty bridged wires from the immobiliser system that was fitted!
