Just wondered what most peeps were running?
Whats the best?

Mine currently has K&N induction but i'm thinking about removing it back to standard??

k and n on mine mate. I wouldnt run back to standard by any stretch of the imagination. Stick with kandn mate, they are one of the best company and all the others do the exact same, they only are a diff colour and or have a diff name on em!

You'll get the most power from a standard airbox and aftermarket filter element.

If it's about sounds and looks perhaps you should buy a Corsa and an electric dump valve?

Best of both worlds really needs an induction cone with a cold air box to prevent heat soak, otherwise they just get hot and decrease power. Other wise stick to drilled airbox with a decent element.

If your going to drill the airbox you may aswell fit a cone filter, it still sucks in hot air from the bay

The best way IMO is a performance replacement panel filter to allow greater flow (as this is the point of an air filter upgrade), and then cut the end of the filter box fully open to further aid flow. This way it will primarily suck cold air in from the front of the car and not hot air from the engine bay!

end of day you aint gna gain that fukin much "i mean the difference between a standard with a good panel or just a cone"

simple

its wot u prefer. imo a cone filter looks better if looking under bonnet and does sound better. but a standard box with a descent panel filter is probably healthier in a stupid way.

no way is there alot of gained power

Standard air box with front sawn off and 3 holes drilled along the bottom. Housing a K&N Panel Filter. Car runs/feels/whatever alot better now than it did with the piperX induction cone which was on it previously.
