here are the wheels in question mate

 

these only look good when the white matches the paint work, you see that many that don't and it just looks wrong.

nice wheels will look good in white but as said same white as car

 

my old astra turbo looked porn on white rims!

 

i see, they would have to be exact white wouldnt they!

So is it a case of hoping the colour matches or getting the wheels spray matched to the car?

 

lol yeah you can buy the wheels and have a gamble or buy them and be ready for strip and paint cost on top of that!

 

hmmm i dont mind the extra cost... i think ill take the gamble though to be honest. Or i could just photoshop the photo's when i show everyone my new nice car matched wheels

I was gonna do black wheels on my 3 dr but white looks good

 

yes its a tough call between black and white but i do like white car and white wheels... anyone got any black wheels on white cars for comparison?

The wheels on the white S2 dont quite look right No disrepect just not the right white

 

I thought that barry R, the shade is slightly off, not as bad as the cossy though!

hmmm black looks nice on white cars, and I dont have the problem of having to colour match them.... damn its soooo tough. I got the inspiration from Christians car originally and I just bought this months Fast Ford and low and behold its got a white s2 with white alloys, they arent rota slipstreams but they look pretty much the same.... sex pure sex!

 

steven bm your car looks immense mate, is it on the road yet and what are the specs? It looks like the rear lights are off in the pic.

yeh rear lights are off mate.first it was out the garage the other day in four months while i was doin my underbody resto.saving for my full respray now.should be a lot better next time you see itoh and good choice with the white on white

 

Good luck with the rebuild mate, it looks amazing already! Yea white on white it is.... i think black on white is a little boring now as everyone had black wheels at some stage!
