How much is a standard Head gasket for a escort from ford

My mate is new to cossies he rang for parts for 1 they told him with bolts its £456.72 and asked him if he wants it they need paying full before they will order it

Are they having a bubble or what

Our local ford they told him its different to all the other cossies a SPECIAL 1 is needed
his car is only on a stage 1

also see this, people are saying a small turbo gasket is better than a group a item, so that might be something to consider?

small turbo escos gasket is different to other cossies, only slightly though.

Having a laugh at that price though!

I am let to believe they are good up too around 380-400bhp but im sure somebody will clarify this.

if he is staying stage 1 he will be fine, even up to stage 3, but i personely would fit a good gasket and head bolts whilst doing it

the Ford ones come as a head set, all the parts in it are expensive genuine, around £30 for rocker gasket, 90 for stem seals, 40 for cam seals stc....
better getting one from a specialist with a group A gasket
