Hi all recently purchased an xr2i it has the following problems: interior light doesnt work (changed bulb still no luck) Passenger side window doesnt work ( i have removed door card and can feel a click on the motor when i press the button) Boot release doesnt work, boot interior lights not working either. Anyone got any idea's what i can do ive checked all the fuses in the compartment next to drivers right knee and there all ok, cheers Tom

 

Does interior light work when switched on by switch? I'm guessing you mean it does not work when door is opened in which case may be a door switch. Have you tried opening the passenger door and see if it works?

Failing that remove bulb again and with a multimeter and door open or light switch on make sure you are getting 12V to the light socket, if not this means there is a problem further back, you say you have checked the fuse and so may be a connection problem between fuse and light.


As to the electric window problem if you can hear it clicking then this means the power supply is fine, so I would say either a motor or regulator problem but check to make sure the window is just not jammed.

I think most likely it will be a regulator problem. In which case a new one will be needed.

Remote boot release sounds like it has no power connection so just go over and check connections.

Check boot light in the same method I have described above for interior light.
