Howdy all anyone have one fitted to there car? Im after a change as my 3" magnex isnt loud enough! Just after pics really as ive seen pics of the systems on ebay and in magazines and they show the tip of the exhaust coming out at a angle and am worried they dont sit straight with the bumper?

i got 4" magnex and its WELL LOUD. propa sounds the nuts

 

Had a S2 Turbo a few years ago and had the 3"1/2 inch mongoose fitted sounded the bollocks and was told a few times too. Would say go for the mongoose with the nice rumbel to it your love it

 

Yeah im swaying towards mongoose just wanna see one fitted as like i say the sales picture shows the type being at a angle from the box?

 

mines got a scorpion, doesn't sit at an angle, sounds nice, not mega loud

 

mongoose with 4" rolled out tail, not too quiet and not stupidly loud. sounds sweet mate you wont be disapointed...they fit perfect too.. (sits straight out at the back)

on my rs turbo s1 cab

 

get a scorpion there top notch, sound mint on boost aswell....and on idle they just sound better than anything

 

Heres mine with a mongoose system,great sound and fit you cant go wrong mate.

 

awsome thanks for the pics! RSMK4Turbo is yours a 4" tip aswell? and have you both got 3" bore or 2and half inch bore? if you know that is?

 

Had 4" moongoose on mine 2 1/2" bore sounded very nice could be a bit of a drone inside car on long trips but it didnt help having all the back stripped out.

 

Mongoose my choice as well...

have had Scorpions too, always preferred the rumble on goose's.

 

I think mine is 4" tip not sure on bore mate.

 

i had a mongoose 4" outward rolled sounded the bizness!

mongoose defo mate sounds great especially on idle and when coming down the gears pops and bangs like fuck

sounds even better when they have a flexi pipe put in hear the turbo rip

 

Thats what im after as im used to loud exhausts and want to be able to hear my turbo cut in etc. Ive got a 3inch bore magnex on my car at the mo with a 3inch tip but is soooo quiet i want another system! Idealy just a mongoose backbox would be good but cant find one for sh!t!!!

full system or back box? and how much you after for it? yeah just route planned motherwell and 7hr drive is abit far lol!

 

got a scorpian 4 inch rolled tip and i must say its a really nice sounding exhaust, it is so loud and when you rev and let off it pops and fills your rear view with flames! can get a little tedious on long trips but its not bad at all, good excuse to stop and have a coffee.

Had a mongoose on my S1 and S2 Sounds great on idle, and changing through the gears.

 

Ive got a Scorpion full system with 4" outward rolled and i love the sound of it, ive had 5 S2's and ive always had scorpions fitted.

 

1st of all decide if you want 4"inch or 3". coz end of the day mongoose, scorpian and magnex are all good and sound good if having 4inch BIG BORE. simple.

i got 4" magnex big bore. and it sounds the fukin nuts mate.

as long as it is full system

and i tell u wot you can hear me pull up all the time in a good way though

 

4" outward rolled is the rst classic choice
I've got a 4" inward magnex sounds great though

 

same me. sounds loud and propa shit hot imo

 

lol just looked at the reciet when my magnex was fitted. fitted in 1998 costing £235. that seems alot considering it was nearly 11 years ago, NO.

still seems and sounds new to me

ive had a mongoose and scorpion and magnex, all very good, ive recently been using pawerflow and having them custom built to my own personal spec, works out about £30.00 more expensive but the steel is a very high quality, you can feeel how solid the boxes are compared to others, also you can specify exactly how you want it to look sound etc....

i dont rate powerlow for the likes of an rs. they good for a standard car.

 

i have a piper on my rst, its not bad not to loud not to quite just an ugly back box

i love the old skool mongoose with the rely fat out rolled lip

magnex are prob the best quality ones and that flexi pipe it a nice touch

 

if u want the untimate exhaust you gotta get a hayward and scott but a bespoke exhaust from them is 600/700 quid and there not the prettyist

 

gotta be scorpion,cant beat the sound of 20 psi rushing thru the 4 inch outward rolled pipe,ummmmmm.,.
mongoose are nice aswell tho

 

i think scorpions sound better but to get that sound they go from a 2.5" bore to 2" inside the backbox mongoose perform alot better tho! if you want loud have a 4" tail pipe but be warned they drone like fook between 3 an 4K not what you want on a long jerny.

 

ive got a 3" magnex system on mine at the moment its 3" bore and 3" tip im pritty handy with a welder but am i right in thinking that the 4inch backbox compaired with the 3inch one would have diffrent size pipe/more or less baffles in it? or could i just cut the tip off and weld a new one on? because surely the tip doesnt make that much diffrence?

 

ive just this week fitted a mongoose fits a treat and sounds great good deals from amber performance aswell
