have you told the about the mods ? how about limiting you milage. first year is allways goin 2 be expencive. why dont you try one of them insurace companys that you are not the main drive buy you still get no clam

That doesn't sound too bad to me! Try insuring a 1.8 n/a diesel escort van when you're a new driver, i struggled to find a quote less that 2 grand, and it only has 60bhp! (yes, 60!... I know, I'm working on it )

Not bad, but they quoted me about £4500! Im with NFU now, 1 years NCB and its still 1400 quid.

I can't see how a power to weight ratio of about 32hp/tonne can be considered high risk in anyones hands stangely enough the turbo'd escort van is cheaper to insure...

I guess its different in vans though, the driver is only half the risk, its the people who break in the back to nick your tools. Even if they don't steal anything a new lock and door won't be cheap.
