Default Brake wobble ???

A bit of advice wouldn't go amiss.I waited 3 weeks for some dimpled and grooved discs and red stuffs (all around) for my 2wd saff from Graham Goode.I had recently refurbed my front calipers and replaced one rear so when i had fitted the discs i took them to my mates and had the car put on the brake rollers to check any run out or discrepancies in the calipers which came out perfect,he even offered me a job lol.Anywho 140 miles later i was getting a wobble under gentle braking so i rung GG and advised.Their reply was maybe i have a bush worn out.No i said its all poly bushed and no probs before.240 miles later so they are bed in now,no sharpe breaking done and still a wobble.Back to the rollers for me this week.Any thoughts anyone ???????????? please !! Oh sorry 2wd sapphire cosworth, dont suppose that makes any diff tho.

i did read your post mate, several things can cause a sticking calliper for example a fooked flexi hose or shit in the fluid, if the disc's are new and the callipers rebuilt and the car is polybushed then i would start checking the brake lines, i might be a million miles off but its defo worth a look

Due to the lightweight nature of your car, they may well have been run in a bit to easy.
When they are bedding in they coat the disc with pad material, if you now do a roasting test they will be ok, ie use them get them really hot, then after they have cooled they will be fine, when they get really hot the bonding glue will tend to surface but nothing to worry about, neither is a crack developing mid way in the pads.

The AP way of breaking in new sets requires you to come to an almost halt from 80mph - and to do it a few times. As tab says, the brake discs then get coated and everything has been run at temperature.

I would check the pipes first though and be sure that the pads are being moved OK of course.

Check the discs - do they have black smudge marks on them in places?

Do it progressively if you are sure that everything is moving. As Mike suggests - hot spots should be visible beforehand.

I did mine about 8 times but you have to be in the right place with plenty of raod and no one to bash the backside in... the last 'hot' stops may be hellish efficient so be warned.

Best of luck, fingers crossed for ya.

Okay, did you properly prep the hubs before fitting? Don't go brake testing if the answer is no, or you will PROPERLY fuck the discs up !

Mike what do you mean by prepping the hubs ? i did clean them when i fitted the discs just to make sure there was no crap in under the disc. The first hundred miles or so there was no wobble and i was told to do 200miles bedding them in which i did.The problem occurred at about 140miles.What problems can the pipes or flexi hoses cause ? or what symptoms ?.I have got to go out in about half hour so i will see at what speed is more noticeable.

To icey for doing brake tests.I am going to replace all the brake lines now that thoughts in my head. The rears need doing anyway so i may as well do the rest and drain the fluid. If i get time tomorrow i will lock the flexi pipes off in turn tomorrow and see how i go from there,as said before thanks for the input everyone.
