aup people am afta sum knowledge off the ppl in the know!! im rebiuldin a series 2 eccy from shell up, body works comin on sound hav full custom interior all ready an waitin 2 go in wit cage the works, av nuff photos 2!
Now im gettin 2 the engine i want sum advice wit ppl wit experiance, its an '88 model runnin dizzy n meterin unit. im lookin to run jus ova 300bhp or as near as can get from 1600 cvh, av got most my parts in mind an i know wot i want but wana my mates as told me that if i use an efi inlet manifold i can run 8 injectors!!?? How true is this?? or is my mate chattin bull??

 

With all due respect I think you're about 299bhp away from 300

 

considerin the engine is still on the floor nxt 2 the car id say am 300 away!! but serious mate can u run 8 injectors or is my man talkin cack?

 

You can run 8 injectors if you weld an additional 4 bosses onto the manifold.....

 

no need tho!!

 

god knows how you would run eight injectors on a CVH and you most certainly would not need to as people like NMS and Christan have achieved over 350 bhp with four injectors.

The biggest problem with very high powered CVH's is getting them to hold together and buying gearboxes. Don't think a massive power CVH is cheap though a genuine 300bhp engine will cost you thousands including the management and your first gearbox of many.
