They are not 'Face-off' like head units and i dont really want mine on display for some pikey mo-fo to smash and grab!

Managed to get a black limited edition one for £325 new!

 

Some one i know is after the black one can you pm over where you got it from so i can let him know

 

what features out of the ones this has can actually be used on an rs turbo ????.

Sorry mate I managed to land it on the 'Bay' but it was the only one at that price! Only other seller with them in stock is asking £399 plus delivery, again on ebay!

Boost Duty (to help reduce lag), Gear mapped boost, RPM mapped Boost, Scramble Boost (bit like having 2 stage switchable boost), plus all the normal advantages to having a EBC (no boost spikes, easy boost adjustment for your tuner, etc...), also has handy things like a rev counter and speedo (speed sender fitted) if you fancy seeing how accurate your dials are!

On top of that it's a great toy!!

So mappable boost here i come.... at Christmas when my girfriend lets me open it!!

 

got one one my fiesta well worth the money excellent features, mine is working off my speed sensor when the car mapping is complete. will @ msd is going to set it up he is a bit of a whizz with them..

anybody care to elaborate on the 'speed sensor' thing? another dummies guide to... please lol

iv been looking at an avc-r for a while now, but without knowing what and where the speed sensor would be located, im fooked if i know if i run 1, and therefore if i cud use the avc-r properly

 

It's a sender unit that fits in between your speedo cable and your gearbox and sends a signal to your fuel/trip computer telling it how fast you are going.
If you dont have the trip computer then there is a good chance you dont have one, but they can be picked up for pennies if you do want one to use with the AVC-R!

ah rubbish, i gave my mate something like that, along with the bit on the metering head, and a fuel computer, when his packed up

never had it fitted like, just lying around in the box of leftovers from my conversion, typical!

so if i pick 1 up, its a simple drop on and go kinda deal, no other bits or specifics needed with it to make it work?

 

not 100% sure but probably just a live feed to it then the other wire would go to the AVC-R, i wont have mine to fit until x-mas day as my girfriend got it for me as a present!
But i'll let you know then! LOL!

 

well i dont even have a gearbox in my car to fit a speed sensor to, so i reckon im all good to wait for an answer lol

I have the same as that fucked if i no how to work it and me cars of the road at the mo so wont have chance to have a play. I paid £270 for mine off e bid which was a bargain cus the nearest price to that was £330 elsewhere.

 

the speed sensor which comes with all fiesta rs turbos and escort turbos with fuel computers, three wires plus and minus and one signal.. if you dont have a speed sensor just pick one up from a scrap yard, excellent bit of kit you can wire in your rev counter, throttle sensor just get someone who knows what they are doing to set it up paul hill at EA is also good at setting these up.

Ive got one for that was taken off my skyline. Obvisoly unboxed but comes with everything needed for £250.

Was only on the car for 2 months. excellent bit of kit... i paid £399

 

I think I can probably get a new Black AVC-R for £300. Would have to make a call though......

 

my brother wants a black one, So put me down for one of them at £300 Christian. he would have had mine but its blue and all his interior is carbon.

£300 is an extremely good price new.
