Default Good weather at Blackpool in the end of July ? :)

I booked a live-mapping session for the end of July next year, and will have 5 days to kill.

As I love mountain bike, I think I will just bring my bike and a tent, and ride for 5 days, doing a one loop trip from Blackpool to Blackpool, visiting typical countrysides. My main concern is the weather. Ok I know it is not possible to predict it, but USUALLY, how is it in the last week of July ? It won't stop me anyway knowing the weather is usually shit.

Is there a lot of nice roads for mountain bike around Blackpool ? In Switzerland we do not have lot of small forest paths to go with a mountain bike, I hope it is better in the UK !

Thanks in advance for the advices !

Not sure about the weather, but you could head out towards garstang on your bike and go biking up beacon fell, and also forest of bowland
Or you could stay in the town and get a puncture from all the smackheads needles lol

depending on which way you go ie up the m6 you go near me and i'm 15 mins away from some of the best forest roads in wales.

i've seen mountain bikers in there loads of times usually when a rally's on

word of warning though,if you go to a sweetie shop don't leave your bike leaning on the window outside

Well that's already good to know there are some forests there !

And Karl, I do not know yet which way I will use to go to Blackpool, but the shortest one from Folkstone, for sure !

Well in Switzerland (at least where I live, in Geneva) I do not really let my bike unlocked because for few years now, there are lot of robbers in the streets, unfortunately.

It remember me this year's Ford Fair when Rob (DIVA) reminded me to "hide" the parts in the car's boot because some people could break the windows and rob the parts.
