Right basically a load of us are all going up to edinburgh for new years weve booked up our flights and hotels ect, well looking forward to it,
just wondering if anyone here has done edinburgh for new years? wats it like? what would u lot recommend/ advice?

great mate take a big warm coat though will be very cold there too but a great time u will have thats for sure

 

top night the scots certainly know how to celebrate new years

 

Not New Years, but went up for a weekend, amazing place, VERY welcoming, even in the dodgy pubs people were friendly.

Deffo recomend the place for either a weekend with the lads, or a few nights with the misses.

 

Our kid used to live up there,
She said just head for the centre and you are guarenteed a good time.

 

youll have a good time mate,you going to the street party or just pub/clubbing it?

Done the New Year thing in Edinburgh a few times and its brilliant, you will have a great time, just remember to keep your phones charged because its easy to get split up (although around 12am its not gonna connect anyway ).

great! been a few times to the street party,had a bottle of glayva and six tins half way up a chrismas tree on the bridges one year! great

worth buying tickets for that then even head of to a club afterwards.but again some places will be ticket only i think.

 

I fancy edinburgh for a couple of days over new year,, anyone reccommend a decent hotel..

 

Same here, are there beer tents at the street party or do u take ur own, or whats the crack?

kool sounds great!!! glad were going now, sounds like the street party will be a good bet were gonna get up there on the 29th so will have a few days to explore the place and decide exatly what partys we will be going to, me also wondering if we can bring our own beer into the street party,
