just thought i would drop a line as i have just picked up my pride and joy today.
i had been seperated from it for 8weeks but it was worth it.
got a 2ltr ZVH done with cosworth managment, and OH MY GOD is it quick....
i had a 1.7 low compression rs running a t34 and all the usual add ons to produce a
rollin road proven 220bhp but was to unreliable so decided to get this done by

ACE PERFORMANCE CARS in carnwarth
the guys name is derek and offers a very good and profesional service, he advised me
to go this way as it is proven power and reliability.

what was done to it was just the common zvh, 2ltr zetec bottom and which he freshend up with new piston rings, shells, oil pump, water pump ect. the cylinder head was welded and machined and a stainless head gasket was squashed by APR head bolts.
the block was painted and everything was perfectly clean.

the cosworth managment looked a cunt to do, all the wiring was nicley done with custom inlet manifold, crank sensor, distributer a prob lots of other things that i havnt noticed yet.

the car is currently runnin 8psi to run it in and already feals so much quicker and more a pleasure to drive and what a wasgate noise!!!!!

All i want to say is a BIG thanks to derek and would highley recommend him to anybody.

Judging by the response, ACE Performance must have a bit of a bad rep on here...

I know fuck all about the company btw so am just as confused as to why it's a can of worms being opened.

i saw that car when i was up looked the dogs nuts, the finish on the engine was next to nothing dont know why there are so many bad comments,
had first class service of a sound person.
but i suppose everybody has had bad experiences at some point with some person in the life.

it set me back 3k m8 and worth every penny build quality and service (EXCELLENT)

 

just seems a bit strange a post popping up praising the guy and place after all the critisism(spelling) both him and the place has been getting but dont get me wrong a know u never heard praise for places just hear when something goes wrong , but good luck to you mate and good to hear hes done a good job
