i have a plaster cast on my wrist and have had an itch since saturday which i just cant get rid of. The doctors at the hospital recommended ice packs which doesnt help, sticking things down the cast doesnt help, i got it a tiny bit wet the other day and am wondering if thats whats caused it? cheers

Knitting needle with a thin cloth or something. Push the cloth through from one end to the other with the knitting needle. Then with an end of cloth sticking out of each end of the plaster move it back and forwards over the itch.

ask them to remove it and give you another one, it's cool the way they cut it off, you can get them in al sorts of colours, i've had pink, blue yellow and multicoloured's, all the fluresant versions
i'll see if i can find some pics
oh yeah, if you get it done when it's proeprly cold, when yo go outide, you can see it wafting hot vapour into the atmosphere as it sets

Try and get some talcum powder down there, that is what I did when I had both legs in complete plaster plus my right arm completely plastered up all at the same time, had a few itches then!!

when it comes off, you'll notice that your arm is much much thinner than it was, just get using it asap afterwards or else you'll get stuck with limited movements, and take the option of physio
