As the car started its new life with me not been started or had anyone drive it for the past 4years before me taking over and giving this rare cabby the home it deserves







as the car started getting stripped ready for restoring



underneath quite a bad state but never say never



front panel and wings tacked in place rest is surface rust will be treated then primed


car primed where needed just need to go around flat it dwn and sort some inperfections out
thers alot more to come slowly but surley i know they only made 500 all white mk3 se cabbys only came on c-plates but how many d-plate ones i dont know as of yet, It is an original as i have had and got another cabby se on a c-plate and comparing the vin numbers letters etc and brackets for dash etc all are original mk3.
All this has taken me a few weeks as work does take alot of time up from me but keep viewing as will be updating

little up date to what ive been doing all under car has been freshly coated with shutz then bair in mind the car underneath from before had no protective coating what so ever only on the chassis rails but came of fairly quick so after that had a fair few coats of white over it looks a whole lot better i think you will all agree progress maybe slow as all work done is myself including my eldest bro with welding spraying etc etc














had all this come through great stuff engine is back now aswell well the top end has been boared out polished valves ground in skimmed and also thinking of getting bigger valves which the chap recommended just waiting for cam to be fitted and adj pully







ALSO INNEED OF SILICONE HOSES 2 COOLANT AND ANCILLARY FOR THIS ENGINE WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO TRY OR DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FOR SALE

Fresh diamond white so nice and clean just perfect well chuffed with myself was done couple days ago i did it in my garage just thought id bring it out get some air, the car weighs nothing so with help from my bros one each end just lifted it out but pics do show i do hope to get the car featured at some point once finished whenever that will be












Cant wait to put it back together with all fresh new bits, gaz coilovers 300mm focus brakes,all braided fuel lines brake lines loads of chrome and polished stuff is all on its way head is all finished now just bottom end then will be put back together mk5 gearbox reconned need to pick up today will keep posted got alot more done than what i thought i would
all comments welcome was wondering you reckon it will be mag feature material once done as that is my dream on this project and all the hard work and money will have been paid off once featured

what you reckon brand new cabby mk3 lights thought try something different or could just leave them orange, paint work has come out real good may buff up on later date once all finished

major updates been real busy new servo loads of chrome and lots more to come with silicone hose braided fuel lines thanks to my bro nearly there just dont want to start rushing

lovin this ive owned and restored and modified 5-6 se's and a huge amount of other mk 3 cabs lol bought the st and hate it cause its not a mk3 cab will buy another soon due to seeing threads like this love it need any advice feel free to pm me

looks sweet! just bought a mk3 cabby with the intension or restoring her next winter (want a bit of fun in her over the summer first). seeing this is givin me some inspiration to completely do it ova, although ill neva b able to get it lookin like that! keep it up.

pleased with comments well worth putting in all the effort so far just need few more bits and bobs to get hold of, need silicone hoses in blue braided brake lines and mk3 front amber indicator lamps

 

roose motorsport do hoses rapid ford sell them just now while i was searching ebay

lovely cabriolet though mate really nice and clean and wish icould carry out something like this on mine and the engine bay look spot on too

thanks ordered full set of silicone hoses roose motorsport includin vacum and breather pipes induction also braided brakel ines and twin 10"slimline fans also on the way

 

more updates soon braided hoses all sorted fitted to place silicones trial fitted will be clamped up later
