Think it was only water pump that was different between Scimitar and Capri.

try capri international a they have a mounthly mag with a few engines in it up for grabs, if not just contact them and they might know where to look

the 3.0 engine was much better than the 2.8, the south africans were building them for years. A friend of my brother-in-laws had one in the VW bus, which was common.

with group a heads they made 400 bhp, but then would not last too long and crack

 

Funny this , I was in morrisons car park today and an old 3 lire capri drove past , sounded awsome

quite liked the old car

If i had been quick i could have wipped the motor out while he got his shopping , lol,

 

the essex is a horny sounding engine, i love them

 

I know for one in bits for £50 but its down in newport south wales so prob to far for you to travel.
