Default Makes a refreshing change

Well , Rather than just break cossies i have been asked to repair one

The owner of this car looked on my website and was impressed with the RS500 restorations i have done and called and asked if i would take on his pride and joy damaged saff

She has suffered quite a bad hit and has pushed both chassie legs over , but nothing that cant be jigged

I will update as it goes

this picc shows how far its gone over

Genuine stuff can still be sourced for Sapphires i think, someone in the Cosworth said they have just acquired panels.

Should look good when finished.

Yes mate , both legs are across , nothing to worry about tho . infact the bumper irons are still in the ends of the chassie legs so you can see just how far its gone over

I am a panel beater by trade so an easy job for me

Also a bonus that a very very good bodyshop backs onto my workshop who have a blackhawk jig and a new spraybooth , so it will look as new when completed

Genuine question, would it not be cheaper and easier just to re-shell it?

With your Cosworth expertise I am surprised you don't do servcing and repairs, you have enough spare parts

Wil
to reshell it is about 90 / 100 hours ,
to repair is about 25 hours , and i would be lucky to find a good enough shell as this one is mint pre accident

Regards , repaires etc , there arnt many cossies up this way that arnt owned by people in the garage trade etc who do all there own work
