Completely different cars mate, i would take the M3 but depends if you would like the better consumption of the diesel.

330D mapped anywhere up to 250bhp and a million torques lol.
Be so much quicker 9/10 circumstances.
I miss my old M3 for revving, but loving the torque of diesel for overtaking, and got about half as much as the 400nm's of the 330D I expect.

Two great cars, at two completely different jobs... if you dont need the economy or the more relaxed drive of the diesel and can justify the extra few grand to buy an equivalent spec/condition M3 then I'd say go for the M-powered car.

If you do over 12k per year then the 330d is probably more sensible with the way things are financially just now... will be less of a drain on cashflow when it comes to fuel and maintenance on it.

Cheers,
Grant

These have droped Ł5-7k in the last 6 months. I nearly bought a 330d m sport back then, so glad i didnt .

nows the time to buy.

Id say as your asking the question, you dont have your heart set on either particular one?

The question you need to ask is

how many miles will you do
and
what is the main purpose of the car

Id plum for the 330d over the m3, even if money wernt an object!

(has to be the m sport tho, cos the seats in the normal 330 are shite!!)
