is the MFi S2 flywheel the same as the MFi XR3i flywheel?

i paid £125 for a lightened one,! chucked my old one not long ago too!

cheers guys, i have a spare XR3i engine sitting so i'll rob that until i can afford a better one

Just get it balanced and faced if it is scored badly and thats about all you need to do! (dont lighten it!)

i've heard a few dodgy stories about lightened standard flywheels although a pal has one on his rally car and it's been fine.

standard should be fine anyway.

I find that if you lighten them, you get more lag between gearchange as the engine revs drop quicker. With a turbo engine, the kick of the turbo soon spins the engine back up so you dont need to worry about lightening the flywheel!
