ive replaced the boot seal and still leaking , just wondering if people have had the rear window seals leak before?

 

You havnt got one of your sunroof drain hoses come off? Just a thought

 

the window seals can leak, and water can get into the boot from the rear lights seals too.

 

no sunroof on the car and car is out of way fro direct rain hitting lights aswell as under car cover lol, guess next bet is new glass rubber lol, cheers

 

the main problem areas for the escorts are, rear light gaskets, rear bumper bolts, sunroof drains, rear washer jet leaking, or corrosion around the spoiler on the boot lid.

more than likely the rear light gaskets are leaking, sit in the boot and get a mate to spray the car with a hose and see where it comes in from.

 

Must be quite a bad leak if you have a car cover on aswell.

 

its not a waterproof cover, just stops people looking and keeps dirt off . wanted to hose it down but has no engine at the minute so isn't really movable

 

my old one was leaking in the boot
it was coming from the bottom corner of the rear window ,it was rotten inside the window rubber

 

its just appears to end up in the spare wheel well?
